CashShield ("we," "our," or "us") is a Shopify application operated by Atlas & Lila, Inc. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use CashShield.

1. Information We Collect

When you install CashShield on your Shopify store, we access certain data through Shopify's APIs:

• Store Information: Your store name, domain, and Shopify plan type, used to configure the app.
• Payment Method Data: Available payment methods at checkout, used to identify and customize COD options. This data is processed in real-time by Shopify's infrastructure and is not stored by us.
• Checkout Context: Cart totals, shipping addresses (postal codes, country, province), customer tags, and product tags. This data is processed in real-time by Shopify's Function infrastructure and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
• Rule Configuration: The COD rules you create are stored as Shopify metafields on your shop and remain within Shopify's infrastructure.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect or store customer personal information (names, emails, phone numbers, full addresses).
• We do not collect payment or financial information.
• We do not use cookies or tracking technologies on your store.
• We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties.

3. How Data Is Processed

CashShield uses Shopify Functions, which run entirely on Shopify's infrastructure. Your checkout data (cart totals, postal codes, customer tags) is evaluated against your rules in real-time within Shopify's secure environment. This data never leaves Shopify's servers and is never transmitted to our infrastructure.

The admin interface for managing rules runs as an embedded Shopify app, authenticated through Shopify's OAuth system.

4. Data Storage

Your COD rules are stored as app-owned metafields within your Shopify store. We do not maintain a separate database of your rules or store data. If you uninstall CashShield, your rule configurations stored in metafields will be removed according to Shopify's standard app uninstall procedures.

5. Data Security

We rely on Shopify's enterprise-grade security infrastructure for all data processing and storage. All communications between the app and Shopify use HTTPS encryption. We follow Shopify's security best practices for app development.

6. Third-Party Services

CashShield does not integrate with or share data with any third-party services. The app operates entirely within the Shopify ecosystem.

7. Your Rights

Since we do not store personal data outside of Shopify's infrastructure, data rights requests (access, deletion, portability) should be directed to Shopify for customer data. For your store's rule configurations, you can view, modify, or delete all data directly through the CashShield admin interface.

Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations:

• You can access all your stored rules through the app interface.
• You can delete all rules through the Settings page.
• You can uninstall the app at any time, which removes all associated data.

8. Children's Privacy

CashShield is a business tool for Shopify merchants. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, through the Shopify admin interface.
